Meet Dr. Farthing
Dr. Annette Farthing graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from Indiana University. She attended dental school at Indiana University School of Dentistry and completed her pediatric dental residency at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for Children.
Dr. Farthing has had extensive training and more than 30 years of experience in treating the dental needs of infants, children, and teenagers. She treats all children, in addition to those with special developmental or medical needs. Dr. Farthing provides care for emergency dental needs and traumatic dental injuries. Monitoring and guiding dental development are part of her area of expertise.
Dr. Farthing is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. Dr. Farthing is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD Board Certified). She has been an oral examiner for other pediatric dentists seeking to gain Diplomate status with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Farthing has been consistently chosen by her peers as a “Top Dentist” for the Indianapolis Monthly magazine.
Dr. Farthing truly enjoys practicing pediatric dentistry. She derives satisfaction from turning a fearful and apprehensive child into a patient who is excited to come back for another appointment. She is always willing to answer questions and teach preventive dental health practices. She takes great pride in creating and maintaining healthy smiles in a friendly and compassionate environment. Dr. Farthing is happy to welcome new patients to their practice.
Dr. Farthing and her husband have three married children and four grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family, being involved in church activities, cooking, and reading.
