Meet Dr. Papineau
Dr. Scott Papineau was born and raised in Kankakee, Illinois. After graduating from high school, Dr. Papineau moved to Indianapolis to attend Butler University where he earned his Doctorate of Pharmacy degree (PharmD). While at Butler, Dr. Papineau was involved in campus life and ministry activities. He also developed a fanatical love for Butler basketball that continues today.
Dr. Papineau worked as a licensed pharmacist for two years before starting dental school at Indiana University School of Dentistry. After graduation from dental school, Dr. Papineau completed his pediatric dental residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Papineau was honored to be chosen as the first chief resident during his second year of residency training.
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital gave Dr. Papineau extensive training in treating infants, children, adolescents, and those with special medical needs. While completing his pediatric dental residency, an emphasis was placed on dental cleanings and restorations, dental emergencies and trauma, oral conscious sedation, IV sedation, and treatment under general anesthesia.
Dr. Papineau is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the Indiana Society of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Indiana Dental Association, and the Indianapolis District Dental Society. Dr. Papineau is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD Board Certified). Because of his unique dual pharmacy and dentistry degrees, Dr. Papineau gives the pharmacology lecture series to the Indiana University/James Whitcomb Riley Children’s Hospital, University of Kentucky, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center pediatric dental residents.
It is Dr. Papineau’s goal to treat each patient as if he were treating his own child.
Dr. Papineau has two gorgeous daughters, Isabelle and Elliana, and a beautiful wife, Emily. Together, they enjoy being involved in their church, outdoor activities, and attending Butler basketball games.
